| ACTT – The new IMPactt program solves one of the biggest hurdles
facing the gas industry today– the
lack of skilled and qualified operations personnel.
IMPactt is a customized training program for operations personnel.
It employs a combination of self-study workbooks, on-the-job training,
performance evaluation, and instructed classroom training to address
both the knowledge and skill requirements of compressor station
operators.
The heart of the IMPactt program is a series of self-study workbooks
customized to company-specific requirements. The self-study workbooks
can be used as prerequisites for traditional classroom training,
as study material for experienced employees preparing for recertification,
or as the basis for an operator qualification program.
Each IMPactt workbook addresses the knowledge required of an operator.
This includes presentation of operational information, the identification
of key operating parameters, safety hazards, and abnormal operating
conditions.
Companies identify skills that require more training and use one
or more of the IMPactt options: classroom training offered by ACTT,
on-the-job training, and performance evaluation. On-the-job training
and performance evaluation forms, customized to meet company requirements,
direct the training and evaluation of each operator.
One longtime customer of ACTT commented, “The IMPactt program
is a great enhancement of ACTT’s successful operations training
programs- it allows our operators the flexibility to work around
their schedules and be more efficient with their time.”
This revolutionary personalized technical training program allows
companies to identify a training path for each employee and allows
each employee to progress at their own speed. Successful completion
of the workbook phase of the training program is tracked through
the use of online testing that provides immediate test results
to each employee.
Based in Houston, Texas, ACTT is a consulting, training and testing
firm that assists owners and operators of reciprocating engines
and compressors. Their focus is training operations personnel and
assisting their clients in achieving efficiency improvements. ACTT
has trained over 1200 employees and provided thousands of hours
of consulting, testing, and troubleshooting to more than 30 companies.
