This class has been described as a gas turbine fundamentals class that provides a solid
foundation to any employee involved in the operation and monitoring of gas turbines and
centrifugal compressors.

general layout of the package
- Gas turbine operation
- Combustion basics and exhaust
emissions
- Centrifugal compressor operation
- Unit Operations
- Turbine performance curves
- Gas turbine operating limits
- Ambient temperature effects
- Filter and exhaust duct pressure losses
- Surge control
- Centrifugal compressor curves
- Support systems operation and normal maintenance
- Generalized unit sequencing
This class is intended for equipment operators, supervisors, engineers, gas controllers, and
other personnel responsible for gas turbine and centrifugal compressor equipment. There are no
pre-requisites required to attend. This class is taught at the customer's location. (24 training hours)
