Compressor Characteristics
Course IIB of our Basic Track Training
This intermediate level course teaches concepts of reciprocating compressor application and operation. It is intended to teach operating characteristics and the impact of operational changes on compressor performance.

The course is divided into two sections:

  1. Compressor fundamentals: A lecture describing physical components, mechanical linkages, fundamental operating theory, and operating characteristics.
  2. Compressor characteristics: A series of problems that describe certain changes on a compressor and their effect on critical compressor performance parameters.

This class is intended for personnel responsible for compressor maintenance, troubleshooting, supervision, field engineering, gas planning, and and gas control. Students must complete Basic Track Course I as a pre-requisite to attend. This class is offered at either the customer's location or at open enrollment courses throughout the U.S. (24 training hours)
