Coupling and Shaft Alignment
Hands-On Training
This hands-on course teaches basic concepts and application of the "Rim and Face" and "Reverse Dial Indicator" alignment methods. Upon completion, each student will understand fundamentals of coupling alignment, understand the steps and procedures for both alignment methods, and will be able to apply these methods to a hands-on alignment exercise.

The basic curriculum includes:

  1. Introduction to coupling alignment
  2. Alignment preparation and pre-alignment checks
  3. Rim and face alignment method
  4. Reverse dial indicator method
  5. Alignment reports
  6. 4-hr practical exercise applying alignment skills with alignment simulator

This course is intended for equipment operators and mechanical personnel responsible for monitoring, measuring, and correcting equipment alignment. There are no pre-requisites required to attend. Class size is 6-8 students to maximize hands-on practice. This class is taught at the customer's location. (8 training hours)
